However, I hadn’t read or heard of the books Silo is based on. The story is good and interesting. The series takes place 140 years after the end of the world. Now the remaining 10,000 people live in a silo, and these people have never been outside a silo. They don’t even know what stars are. However, they know that going outside the silo is fatal. Some people want to go outside to learn more, but they always die. Those trapped in the silo can witness through the window whenever someone wants to go outside and see how and when they die. Rebecca Ferguson plays Juliette Nichols, who tries to figure out what’s outside the silo and why they can’t get out without dying. The performances are good, as is the character development. However, the pacing can be a bit slow as there are some filler sequences. They could have definitely shortened the series by at least two episodes, but it doesn’t bother me much because the series as a whole is so good. Looking forward to season 2 with more suspense, mystery, and answers to what’s outside the silo!
